The BIO 150 Chipper Shredder (formerly the C150), manufactured by Caravaggi s.r.l., is one of the most powerful portable chipper shredders available.

What is a Chipper Shredder?
Chipper Shredders are usually fitted with two in feed chutes. The side chute  is for chipping wood branches up to 3" thick whilst the top shredding chute can pulverise large bundles of green waste such as leylandii.

It is because you have the option to chip or shred that you can reduce such large volumes of garden waste that is just not possible with just a standard chipping machine. Often we find that there is more green material than woody, and this is when the BIO 150 comes into its own.

How easy is the BIO 150 to use?
Simply start the engine and increase its revs to its maximum and you are ready to go.
Wearing the personal protective equipment as outlined in the operation manual, it is simply a case of putting the different vegetation into the correct chute.

There is a lever on the side of the BIO 150 that adjusts a grille which keeps material in the shredding chamber for longer to ensure it is shredded evenly. By moving this lever you can move the grille out of the way allowing wet vegetation to be expelled from the machine.

For easy transportation and manoeuvrability the side chute locks in an upright position making the BIO 150 narrower.
