The TS 440 with extended guard adjustment provides easier access for cutting pipes, wall sections and cutting in corners. The extended guard adjustment is made possible due to the innovative STIHL QuickStop wheel brake technology. The TS 440 is the first cut-off machine in the world equipped with sensor-activated wheel brake technology, designed to stop the rotation of the cutting wheel within fractions of a second in the event of a kickback when the guard is in the open position. Furthermore the machine contains many of the tried-and-tested features and technical details. It is versatile enough for general construction applications and ideally suited for limited access cuts.

STIHL QuickStop wheel brake
The first cut-off machine in the world equipped with a technology capable of stopping the rotation of the cutting wheel in fractions of a second if kickback occurs. This allows the user to work with an extended guard adjustment range.

Extended guard adjustment
The wheel guard can be adjusted so that the cutting wheel of the TS 440 is exposed at the top. This allows easier access for cutting pipes, cutting in corners and wall sections, and working where space is limited.

High engine power
Thanks to a two-stage belt drive, the TS 440 transfers a high torque to the cutting wheel. It allows the users to apply higher feed force while reducing the chance of bogging the engine. Therefore the user can operate the cut-off machine quite easily.
