The STIHL MS 182 C-BE petrol chainsaw is a very powerful petrol chainsaw for homeowners. Whether you are cutting firewood, pruning or felling small trees, the MS 182 C-BE packs plenty of power and is capable of tackling the toughest jobs.

Powered by a STIHL 2-MIX engine, the MS 182 C-BE has great cutting performance and low fuel consumption. It’s fitted with metal bumper spikes, a 3/8" P saw chain which has high cutting performance thanks to the narrow kerf and available with either a 14” or 16” guide bar. The MS 182 C-BE chainsaw also has Quick Chain Tensioning which makes re-tensioning the saw chain much easier. The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces transmission of vibrations to the handle, which relieves strain on your muscles and joints. The MS 182 C-BE has single-lever operation and is effortless to restart after interruptions thanks to the combi-lever and ErgoStart, which makes restarting the machine easier and more reliable. It’s also fitted with a transparent fuel and oil tank, so you can clearly see when the chainsaw needs a fuel or oil top up, and a primer bulb for reducing the number of starting pulls needed.

• Four overflow channels swirl the fuel-air mix before ignition, allowing for optimum combustion and highly efficient performance. The result is lower fuel consumption and high torque across a broad rpm range.
• Thanks to the soft grip on the control handle, the chainsaw sits comfortably in the hand and can be operated safely. In addition, the users grip is improved by the soft material, which helps when using the chainsaw in wet conditions.
• The compensator is a control system in the carburettor, which uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance, exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time, despite increasing contamination of the air filter. You do not need to clean the air filter until there is a noticeable drop in performance. This means that you can work for a long time without maintenance.
• Vibrations can occur when you put your tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.
• With the STIHL 2-MIX engine, you can reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption, and therefore operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is low-maintenance and uses fuel efficiently even at high power levels. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-MIX engine complies with the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.
• EFFORTLESS STARTING. STIHL ErgoStart saves you energy when starting your tools. A smooth and even pull on the starter cord is all that’s needed. The required speed on the starter cord is significantly reduced, and the engine starts quickly and reliably even with a slow pull. An additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord roll makes this easier.
• With tool-free fuel cap, you can open and close oil and fuel tanks in just a few simple steps, thanks to a bayonet closure.
• The manual fuel pump reduces the number of strokes required to start the tool, making the start-up process quicker and easier This is particularly helpful after longer breaks in operation. To use it, actuate the pump several times before starting. This will ensure that there is enough petrol in the carburettor when starting.
• Side-mounted chain tensioning allows for protected, easy and quick chain tensioning and replacement. The tensioning screw is inserted laterally through the sprocket cover.
• Thanks to STIHL Quick Chain Tensioning, you can tension your saw chain quickly and without tools, thanks to the adjusting wheel. Turning the adjusting wheel to the left releases tension on the saw chain, and turning the adjustment wheel to the right tensions the saw chain. The guide bar will be automatically secured when you tighten the sprocket cover.
• Only one start position is required on the combi lever. Thanks to the stop function, once the machine is turned off the control lever immediately moves back into the operating position. This allows a warm machine to be restarted immediately.
