The BCS 740F Flail Mower is based around our most popular two wheel tractor, the BCS 740, and is the most versatile machine in the range with its ability to be fitted with over 25 different attachments. As the 740F it can be fitted with the 65cm or 85cm flail mower attachment.

Why the BCS 740F Professional Flail Mower?
Like all BCS machines, the BCS 740F is very simple to operate and features the new BCS Two Wheel Tractor PowerSafe® clutch. This unique system stops both the drive and implement when you let go of the operator presence lever without stopping the engine, and in our opinion this makes the BCS Two Wheel Tractor the safest machine available in the world today.

The BCS 740F is also fitted with a locking differential and steering brakes for complete operator control, whilst large 5.00 x 10 wheels give you the traction you need whatever the terrain. The BCS 740F is the ideal machine for anyone who needs a truly versatile machine capable of undertaking a wide variety of different tasks.

The flail mower is ideal for use in heavily overgrown areas where other mowers simply can’t cope, easily tackling the worst possible cutting conditions. It is very efficient and will cut vegetation faster and more effectively than a rotary or mulching mower, which has helped to make it our best selling grass cutter.

The 65cm flail features 28 heavy-duty free-swinging blades while the 85cm flail features 36. The blades are fitted to a horizontal roller and arranged in a staggered, or overlapping, layout to provide coverage. It works at a high cutting speed so the blades rotate fast to cut, mulch, and leave a fantastic finish. The cutting height can be adjusted through 5 positions from 1cm (½”) to 6cm (2½”) allowing it to tackle all sorts of ground conditions and heights of vegetation.

Individually hinged front protection flaps and a wide open front help to ensure that material reaches the blades. A full width steel roller at the rear of the mower helps to prevent unnecessary scalping of the ground.
